My Approach on Quitting Marijuana

I have smoked pot since around 8 years. We have the year 2010. I am 28 years old.

I had many cycles in my life where I smoked a lot of Marijuana. And I had also cycles where I did not touch it at all.

Quitting Marijuana was always difficult for me. Especially after a long period of regular usage.

Marijuana Addiction is for me more like a habit than an addiction. It is so easy to smoke it during the day, even while doing the normal daily tasks. A new smoker may smoke only occasionally. But some people, like me, smoke it more and more often.

However, quitting Marijuana is possible.

First thing to do is to make the Decision: "I will stop using pot for a week!" (Or however long you intent to).

Than, it is better to not have any Marijuana around. It would be best if there is simply none available.

The habitual long time user should maybe consider changing the own life circumstances. Find a purpose in life that excites you. Read a book, e.g. 'Think and Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill. Or read a few pages on a website like Steve Pavlina.

Another thing that certainly enhances life is to find a partner. But to make this possible, one owns life should be in balance before a healthy relationship is possible. Finding a new woman / man will never fix your own problems.

A good way to find someone is online. E.g. from Adultfriendfinder.com. But make sure that you are not as stupid as me when I started doing that. I was needy for a woman. So none wanted me.

Especially if you are a man, you want to sign up for some dating advice. Otherwise you are likely to be not very successful. Check out Double your Dating. That stuff is gold.

Travel. If you have not traveled since a while, maybe it is time to do so now. It is incredible how much one can learn by just making a trip. It does not have to be expensive or far. Just grab your backpack and go somewhere you have never been before. 3 days would be enough. The longer the better. During those times, quitting Marijuana will be far easier.

Exercise. I know this can be a hard one. But by doing sports, you will feel better. Not only your body, but also your mind will be refreshed. Negative thought will go away. Try it. Just decide to go running outside once and see how it feels. Make sure to work up a sweat. Than do it regularly if you want. It will help you quitting Marijuana.

By doing these things, you will inject new life into your life. At the end, we all want to live happy and successful lives. And that is, in fact, possible for everyone. No matter what happened to you before.

One important thing regarding any withdrawal symptoms in your body: They are likely to stem from the tobacco that has been smoked together with the pot.

Tobacco creates a strong bodily addiction. And since it is often smoked together with pot, the addiction stems from the tobacco.

Here is another, very important point: Do not beat yourself up for being a Marijuana smoker. You just are. It is not negative or positive. Many people think of pot smokers in a rather negative way. But that is an old perception.

There are 4 programs available that help the user to quit Marijuana. I have reviewed them here.

What counts is that you deal with it consciously. The mere fact that you are reading this text and think about quitting Marijuana means that you think about yourself. That already sets you apart from the masses.

Quitting Marijuana for me means to make the decision to stop for a certain period of time. Than trying to not have any pot easily available. If you smoked with tobacco, be aware that you are addicted to that.

It is alright to not stop Marijuana completely from one day to the other. It is a great success to lower the consume or stop for just a few days. But do things to enhance your life.

The most important thing is to change your live circumstances to the better. Get out of the boring, ever repeating daily rut. We humans become depressed by that.

Find something you really enjoy doing. Ideally, you than make a living out of it. Try to find another Job if you hate your current one. A Job that you like. Once you brought a new spice in your life, you could also find a new partner. Exercise at least once a week. Better would be every 2nd day.

Than Travel. See new things, meet new people. I personally was blessed to go from Germany to Australia. Within 3 years, I met hundreds of people. Worked in 3 diferent jobs. And I met beautiful woman.

We all can have good lives. This is what everybody is here for. It just takes a bit of work to get over oneself. But the rewards are endlessly. I personally totally and 100% believe, that every person could become a millionaire.

And it is not necessarily done by hard work only. It is done by changing the own perception of money. But hey, I am going off topic here. Did you watch the secret? (This stuff actually works).

Make sure to keep yourself motivated. Keep reading inspirational books. Another good one is 'The success principles' by Jack Canfield. And the Bob Proctor stuff is great, too.

Oh, and by the way. There is not really any person in the world that will help you out making your life better. You have to go the way yourself.

All the best,

Volker
