All the effects that come directly from smoking it. They are all gone after 3 - 12 hours when the high has left.

These are my own experiences, together with effects my friend had.

 

Short Term Effects of Marijuana can be:

  • More intense emotions. E.g. increased fear or increased fun. Depending on whatever the user predominantly carries with him.
  • Feelings of relaxation
  • Feelings of pleasure
  • Senses (Hearing, Touching, Seeing, Smelling, Tasting) are felt more intense
  • The brain can be more active, more creative. New ideas might come to the inspired user
  • Short term memory can be decreased. Reading or following a movie can become difficult
  • Unusual much laughter. (Mainly for new users, not so for regular takers)
  • More difficulties to do unwanted things like laundry or other housework. User more likely to 'chill out'.
  • Euphoric need to work on something for hours
  • When writing something, more typos appear
  • Pain in the lung from deep inhaling of smoke
  • Dried out mouth and eyes
  • Hunger
  • Following a lecture at university can be a chore

These things differ vastly from user to user. As you can see, people can become either lazy or busy. Sleepy or awake. It depends on the user and the quality of the weed.

Certain substances in Marijuana make the user stoned, tired and expressionless. Better quality Marijuana with a high THC ratio is likely to inspire the taker.

It also depends very much on how often a user smokes pot. People that smoke seldom, maybe once or twice a month, do have more of the positive effects. They become hungry and the food tastes amazing. They can watch and follow a whole movie. They start to work on a project at 6 PM and find themselves finishing a great piece of work at the next morning.

Other takers who smoke every day beginning in the morning might only become tired, depressed and fearful. They might be unable to get their lives in order.

How to stop the Short Term Effects of Marijuana?

In other words: How to stop beeing so stoned?

A good way is too eat fruits with Vitamin C. Oranges, Mandarins, Lemons. Together with some Water.

Candy works very well, too. If you ever do smoke pot with a new user, make sure to have some candy handy. If the newbie becomes scared or passes out, give him (her) a chocolate bar. It is likely to change the whole state to a positive one.

If somebody really passes out, it is usually not dangerous. Bring the person into a comfortable position. Make sure the head is turned to the side so that no vomit can block the airways. Check with her often. Give candy, fruit, water.

Always make sure that the environment is save and comfortable. Some nice music ... water ... fruits .. candy and fresh air. This is called the setting. It must be nice to have a nice smoking experience.

Summary

The effects of Marijuana are very depending on the user, the environment and the dope that is used.

A new user needs a supporting environment, some candy, water and music to have a good experience.

If somebody feels at unease while high, some candy and Vitamin C is likely to change the state to a better one.

The habitual Marijuana addict probably only becomes tired and emotionless.
